Introduction to Power Skating

This 8-week program is an introductory power skating program for children who possess basic skating skills, which means they can skate the length of the ice while alternating their feet and can complete a snowplow stop. The program focuses on forward stride, stopping and backward skating.

Full hockey equipment is required. There is a maximum of 10 players with 2 instructors and each session is 50 minutes.

Shooting & Power Skating

This program includes shooting and power skating instruction each week. The focus of the program is to emphasize proper technique for forward stride, backward skating, crossovers, and wrist shot (stationary and on the fly). There is a maximum of 10 players with 2 instructors and each session is 50 minutes.

 

JULY 7TH - AUGUST 19TH (MONDAYS) - $290 (7-week program)

Power Skating & Pucks

This 8-week program focuses on traditional power skating techniques, incorporating pucks when the instructor feels it appropriate to introduce them to the class. The goal for each skater is to improve skating control and efficiency with and without a puck. There is a maximum of 10 players with 2 instructors and each session is 50 minutes.

 

JULY 4TH - AUGUST 22ND (THURSDAYS) - $330

Edge Control & Agility Skating

This 4-week program focuses solely on improving players edge control, balance, agility and acceleration. Players work through various drills to understand their inside and outside edges and how to use them to change directions quickly and efficiently. There is a maximum of 10 players with 2 instructors and each session is 50 minutes.
