The Zone would like to thank everyone for all the support we received for our 3 on 3 leauges this year. We had 70 teams and almost 500 players participate in either 3 on 3 or 4 on 4 leagues.
The Champions were: Jeff Hendrick (Peewee Rec), Jennifer Hipel (Minor Peewee Tuesday), Jeff Collard (Minor Peewee Sunday afteroon), Ice Dawgs (Minor Peewee Sunday evening), Waterloo Wolves (Minor Atom Comp Tuesdays), Leung (Minor Atom Comp Saturday), O'Dwyer (Major Atom Comp Saturdays), Tom Keating (Atom Rec Saturday), Mike Lenaers (Peewee Comp), Bryan Shaw (Atom Rec Thursday), Werewolves (Novice Rec), Janet Hale (Novice Comp).
Based on great feedback we will be making some changes to further improve our 2011 season and will also be implementing some new ideas to ensure further development of players. 2011 league info will be available by October and early bird registrations will commence at that time.

New Testimonial
Sep 1, 2009Testimonial from Huron Perth Lakers Organization
On behalf of the Huron-Perth Laker AAA hockey organization, we thank The Zone Training for being a part of our annual Orientation Day. Each year, all Huron-Perth Laker players attend an orientation session to help prepare players for the upcoming season. This year's session included, nutrition, goal setting, game and practice mental preparation, power-skating and puck skill instruction.
The Laker organization chose The Zone Training to provide puck skill instruction. The Zone training is known for high quality programs and the Laker organization is proud to have partnered with the Zone for this portion of our day. The Zone provided two excellent instructors, Simon Watson and TJ Trevelyan. Simon and TJ worked with each team individually (from Minor Atom to Minor Midget) and went through a number of fast paced drills, techniques and instruction. The feedback from both players and coaches was excellent. Simon and TJ really connected well with the players and adapted the drills to suit the different age groups. It was clear to the coaches that both Simon and TJ have a great future in the hockey instruction business.
Special thanks to Derek Obermeyer for helping arrange the day. We appreciated the professional service and look forward to working with the Zone Training in the future.
